Cyclist taken to hospital after collision in Vaughan

Police are investigating a collision between a bicycle and a vehicle near Bathurst Street and Steeles Avenue in Vaughan that sent the cyclist to hospital.

A cyclist has been taken to hospital after a collision involving a driver in Vaughan on Monday afternoon.

It happened shortly after 1 p.m. in the area of Bathurst Street and Steeles Avenue West.

Reports from the scene suggest the cyclist was struck by a driver that was travelling northbound on Bathurst Street at the time.

The cyclist was taken to hospital suffering from serious non-life-threatening injuries, police told CTV News.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown.

Roads in the area are currently closed.
