York Regional Police (YRP) are turning to the public after a fatal collision in Newmarket on Monday.
YRP say a 64-year-old woman has died following a collision at the intersection of Parkside Drive and Davis Drive.
Police say the woman was crossing the street around 7:20 p.m. when she was struck by a vehicle.
YRP say the woman died on scene, despite life-saving efforts.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was not injured, police say.
Police are asking any witnesses of the collision, or those who may have dashcam footage, to reach out to them.
The investigation remains ongoing.
