OTTAWA - Ottawa police are investigating the shooting death of a 24-year-old man in a west-end apartment.
Ottawa police say their major crime section is on the case, which is the fifth homicide of the year in the capital city.
Police and paramedics were called to an apartment on Ritchie Street, west of Britannia Park, late Tuesday night after neighbours reported hearing gunshots.
Police say the victim was found with gunshot wounds and he succumbed to his injuries.
He has been identified as Malik Adjokatcher of Ottawa.
