Three Scarborough schools were in lockdown after a man was shot in the head in an alleyway after noon Tuesday.
Police say a man was shot in the head by someone sitting inside a car near Eglinton Avenue and Mason Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses say at least two suspects fled from the scene in a two-door blue car.
Mason Road Junior School, Scarborough Village Junior School, and St. Boniface Catholic School were placed under lockdown as a precaution. The lockdown was lifted at about 2 p.m.
Police continue to hunt for the gunman.
