SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Nazem Kadri is the American Hockey League's player of the month.

The Toronto Marlies forward was given the award Thursday after scoring six goals and 17 points in 12 games during November.

He's the second straight Marlies player to take the honour following Joe Colborne, who was called up to the Maple Leafs after a productive October in the AHL.

Also Thursday, Portland Pirates centre Andy Miele was named AHL rookie of the month and Justin Peters of the Charlotte Checkers was named goalie of the month.

Miele had 13 points (4-9) in 10 games while Peters went 5-1-1 with a 1.63 goals-against average and .949 save percentage.
