OTTAWA - The reigning Vanier Cup champion McMaster Marauders received all but one first-place vote to remain on top of the Canadian Interuniversity Sport football rankings for the eighth straight week.

The Marauders (7-0) defeated Windsor 39-18 last Saturday to extend their winning streak to seven games and clinch home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

McMaster received 29 of the 30 first-place votes in the weekly Football Reporters of Canada poll. The Calgary Dinos (6-0) were second on the list and the Laval Rouge et Or (6-1) held on to the third spot.

Calgary received the other first-place vote. The Dinos crushed provincial rival Alberta 51-1 last week while Laval dropped a 23-20 decision to Montreal.

The Carabins (6-1) moved up one spot to fourth and the Guelph Gryphons (6-1) rose two spots to No. 5.

Queen's (5-2), Western Ontario (4-3), Regina (4-2), Acadia (5-1) and Manitoba (3-3) rounded out the top 10.
