LONDON, Ont. - A London man is facing charges after a barbecue-fork wielding bandit robbed a variety store in the southern Ontario city.

Police say a clerk at the store suffered minor injuries on Sunday after getting into a scuffle with the robber, who made off with some bus tickets.

Investigators say the same suspect walked into a Bank of Montreal branch Tuesday morning and demanded cash from the teller -- although no weapon was seen.

After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, the man got into a cab and took off but was arrested a short distance away.

Jermaine Oates, 26, faces multiple counts of robbery and wearing a disguise.

Investigators say they haven't ruled out the possibility that the same suspect may have been involved in two other recent bank robberies in London.
