CALGARY - Craig MacTavish's coaching staff for the upcoming IIHF World Hockey Championship is set.

Peter DeBoer and Billy Moores will join MacTavish behind the Canadian bench at next month's tournament in Germany.

DeBoer is currently finishing his second season as the head coach of the Florida Panthers. Prior to that, he had a successful junior career and was twice an assistant at the world junior championship.

Moores spent nine years as an assistant coach with the Edmonton Oilers under MacTavish and is currently a pro scout for the team.

Canadian GM Mark Messier will likely start naming players to his squad in mid-April.

The team opens the event on May 8 with a game against Italy in Mannheim, Germany.
