Two major drug busts involving the Latino Americanos gang and the Asian community kept police across the GTA busy on Wednesday.

Three members of the GTA-based Latino Americanos gang have been arrested and charged in connection with gun and drug trafficking in Toronto, York and Peel Regions.

The charges come after a three-month investigation which ended on April 3.

Police executed early morning search warrants at three homes in Vaughan and Brampton. In one home, they found a two-week-old baby and its mother. The child's been removed by the Children's Aid Society. The mother is charged with drug offences.

James Moreira, 23, Juleta Rivera-Medreano, 21, Frank Geleny, 24, and 28-year-old Byron Quiroz-Ramirez are facing numerous charges.

Meanwhile, authorities have seized large quantities of marijuana, ecstasy and cocaine after an investigation that reached from Toronto to New York City.

Ten people were arrested in the GTA after police executed 14 search warrants.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says two others were also arrested with one in New York and another in Boston.

The warrants included addresses in Toronto, York and Peel Regions.

Several people have been charged for the production, distribution and exportation of MDMA, cocaine, ketamine and marijuana within Canada and to the U.S.

A bulletproof vest and six vehicles were also seized.
