A 25-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder following a shooting in the city’s east end Saturday night.
On Sept. 8, at approximately 11:15 p.m., police responded to 11 Main St. where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was taken to hospital where he later died, police said.
Police have identified the victim as Cory Campbell, 26, of Toronto.
A post-mortem examination determined Campbell died as a result of a gunshot wound to the chest.
On Monday, police arrested a male suspect, identified as 25-year-old Toronto resident Andrew Burnett.
He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning.
Police said they are still looking for a second person but did not identify any suspects.
