A male cyclist has died after being struck by the driver of a vehicle in Oakville Thursday morning.
Halton police said the collision happened in the area of Upper Middle Road and Eighth Line just before 11 a.m.
A grey, four-door vehicle was travelling east on Upper Middle Road when it struck a man riding his bike in the same direction.
The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, police said.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the collision. Police are asking witnesses or anyone in the area with surveillance footage to contact investigators at 905-825-4747 ext. 5065.
