Late-night comedians are finding more humour in Mayor Rob Ford’s troubles.

Ford and his video scandal were a running punchline on overnight talk shows in the U.S. as everyone from David Letterman to Chelsea Handler ridiculed the mayor over the drug use allegations that have reached a new peak.

Some of the biggest laughs were provided by Jon Stewart, who ripped Ford under the on-screen headline “Back in Crack” during the opening segment of “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.”

After playing a clip from a TV news report on Toronto police obtaining a video that allegedly shows the mayor smoking from a glass pipe and making homophobic and racist remarks, Stewart quipped: “Smoking crack, making racist and homophobic remarks. I believe in Canada that’s referred to as a hat trick.”

Stewart went on to mock Ford’s apology and criticize the mayor for failing to address the video or drug use allegations on his Sunday radio show.

Elsewhere, "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" devoted several minutes to Ford during a game of "Guess Who's the Alleged Crackhead," and Jay Leno riffed on the mayor during his monologue on "The Tonight Show."
