A 43-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with a fight that left another man dead near St. Lawrence Market Monday night.

The victim was rushed to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

In a release issued Tuesday afternoon, police identified the victim as 50-year-old Paul Crombie, of no fixed address.

Another man who was also transported to hospital was subsequently arrested in connection with the case.

The suspect, identified as Levon Jolen Gammon, 43, of no fixed address, is charged with manslaughter.

He was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday afternoon.
