A man in his 20s was rushed to hospital without vital signs after a shooting in the city’s west end early Sunday morning.

It happened on College Street near Lippincott Street at around 1 a.m.

According to police, a suspect riding a bicycle is believed to have fired several shots at the victim, at least one of them striking him in the neck.

The shooting occurred outside a busy bar and several people witnessed the carnage.

“Me and my buddy were sitting in a truck and some guy came biking past and we were like ‘alright, whatever, no big deal’ but as we watched him go we saw him take a shot at the guy,” one witness at the scene told CP24. “He shot him three times.”

The victim was taken to St. Michaels Hospital, where he remains.
