Two men face a number of charges after police say a man was pistol-whipped and robbed in North York earlier this week.

According to police, two plainclothes officers were parked in the Don Mills Road and Sheppard Avenue East area when they witnessed two men assault another man Tuesday.

Police say one of the men, armed with a handgun, pistol-whipped the victim before both suspects fled the scene with the victim’s bag and wallet.

Following a foot pursuit, the two men were arrested by police. A loaded Berretta handgun was also seized.

The victim was transported to hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Two suspects, identified by police as 22-year-old Terrence Agtual and Kudakwashe Kambarami, 20, each face eleven charges including assault causing bodily harm, armed robbery and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Both men appeared in court Wednesday morning. Police believe there may be other victims.
