A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition following a collision on the Queen Elizabeth Way in Oakville.

It happened in the Toronto-bound lanes of the highway near Winston Churchill Boulevard on Monday afternoon.

Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says that witnesses reported seeing the motorcyclist “travelling eratically or aggressively prior to the collision.”

“There are no other vehicles involved that we are aware of at this time,” he said in a video update posted to Twitter.

All Toronto-bound lanes are currently closed at Ford Drive as police conduct a full reconstruction at the scene.

No timeline has been provided for the reopening of the highway.

“Anyone with information, any witnesses, any dashcam (footage) please call the Burlington OPP,” Schmidt said.
