It is feeling a bit more like fall today with a high of 15 C expected. Environment Canada says there will be a mix of sun and cloud, but mainly sunny in the afternoon.
News:
- Mayor Rob Ford has been diagnosed with a ‘rare, aggressive,’ cancer and will begin chemotherapy in the next couple of days.
- Scotland is voting today on whether to break from the United Kingdom and become an independent state.
- Nearly half of the jury panel has been selected for the Luka Magnotta trial. Magnotta is accused of killing and dismembering an international student in Montreal in 2012.
Events:
- English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran will be performing at the Air Canada Centre tonight. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
- Just For Laughs 42 kicks off today and runs until Sept. 27. The comedy festival will feature a number of headliners including Lena Dunham, Seth Meyers, Wanda Sykes and Joe Rogan.
- The Fall Home Show begins today and runs until Sunday at the Better Living Centre at Exhibition Place. Advance tickets are $12.
Sports:
- The Blue Jays will head to New York tonight to take on the Yankees at 7:05 p.m.
