One man is in police custody after another man was stabbed in the neck in Toronto’s Weston neighbourhood early Sunday morning.

A staff sergeant from Toronto police’s 12 Division said what started as a bar fight on Weston Road near Lawrence Avenue West escalated when a suspect stabbed a male victim in the neck, sometime before 3 a.m. Sunday.

The victim was taken to a hospital trauma centre with non-life-threatening injuries.

The alleged assailant in police custody suffered a minor stab wound during the fight.
