MAITLAND, Ont. -- Provincial police say they are investigating the death of an elderly man who was struck by a train while walking in Maitland, Ont., early Friday afternoon.
Police say 78-year-old John Holman of Maitland was found dead at the scene at a private rail crossing.
Officers from the OPP's Grenville, Ont., detachment are leading the investigation which also involves Canadian National and Via Rail police.
No other information was immediately released.
