Toronto police have charged a 30-year-old man in connection with a hit-and-run that critically injured a man in the city’s east end Thursday night.

Police say the 35-year-old victim became involved in an altercation with a man driving a 2013 GMC Sierra pick-up truck on Fallingbrook Road, near Kingston Road, shortly before 7 p.m.

The victim was stuck after moving from the front of the vehicle to the driver’s side door as the vehicle accelerated, police say.

The victim remains in life-threatening condition in hospital, police said Friday.

A suspect, identified by police as 30-year-old Kyle Hazelton, of Toronto, is charged with failing to stop causing bodily harm, criminal negligence causing bodily harm and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

He was scheduled to appear in court Friday afternoon.
