Police are investigating after shots were fired at parked vehicles in Carleton Village early Monday morning.

Police were called to the area of Davenport Road and Perth Avenue at around 12:45 a.m. for a report of shots fired.

When they arrived on scene, officers found that bullets had been fired into a couple of vehicles parked in the neighbourhood.

No one was inside the vehicles at the time and no injuries were reported.

Five shell casings were found at the scene and police are still waiting on security video from the area.

The suspect, according to police, is described as a tall and thin male, who was wearing a jacket and toque and was last seen leaving the area on foot.
