TORONTO -- Thanks to timely offence and another strong outing by James Reimer, the Toronto Maple Leafs won their third straight game for the first time this season.

Reimer made 43 saves in his seventh consecutive start as the Leafs beat the Vancouver Canucks 4-2 Saturday night at Air Canada Centre.

The last time Toronto (5-8-4) won three in a row was Dec. 6-16, 2014, a six-game winning streak.

The Canucks (7-6-5) fell to 1-3-1 on their seven-game road trip, which continues Monday in Montreal.

James van Riemsdyk, Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau, Shawn Matthias and Joffrey Lupul scored for the Leafs, who visit the New York Rangers on Sunday night in the second half of their back-to-back.

Jannik Hansen and Alexandre Burrows scored for Vancouver, while goaltender Ryan Miller stopped 36 of the 40 shots he faced.
