TORONTO - Christopher Gibson stopped 38 shots and Connor Brown had a goal and an assist as the Toronto Marlies snapped a nine-game losing streak by doubling up the visiting Grand Rapids Griffins 4-2 on Tuesday in American Hockey League action.

Gibson turned away all 19 shots in the third period while Brown broke a 2-2 deadlock with the eventual winner at 2:38 of the final frame.

Patrick Watling, Matt Frattin and Brendan Mikkelson also scored for the Marlies (6-12-2), who hadn't won since beating the San Antonio Rampage on Nov. 7.

Andy Miele and Louis-Marc Aubry supplied the offence for the Griffins (9-8-2), who got a 26-save outing from Tom McCollum.

Both clubs went 1 for 4 on the power play.
