TORONTO - Colin Smith scored 2:32 into overtime as the Toronto Marlies came from behind to defeat the Lehigh Valley Phantoms 3-2 on Friday in American Hockey League action.

Sam Carrick put the Marlies (45-14-5) on the board at 14:31 of the third period and Brendan Leipsic forced extra time when he found the back of the net at 17:24. T.J. Brennan and Tobias Lindberg picked up assists on the tying goal and Smith's winner.

Tim Brent and Petr Straka built up a 2-0 lead for the Phantoms (27-30-7), who are on a six-game slide.

Toronto's Alex Stalock made 23 saves for the win as Anthony Stolarz kicked out 34-of-37 shots for Lehigh Valley.

The Marlies went 1 for 7 on the power play while the Phantoms scored once on five chances with the man advantage.
