VANCOUVER - People would have gotten a real charge out of a recent shipment of mobile phones from China.

Canada Border Services Agency says officers found a shipment of stun guns disguised as cellphones when they examined a package that had arrived in Vancouver on Sept. 27.

The package had been declared as toys and was destined for Hamilton, Ont., but agents became suspicious after an X-ray examination.

A closer look revealed the stun guns, which are prohibited weapons in Canada.

The devices look like cellphones, complete with buttons and a large screen, but were shock weapons capable of delivering an unspecific electric charge.

The shipment was passed on to police in Hamilton, who delivered the merchandise on Monday and promptly arrested the man who accepted the package.
