TORONTO - A Toronto woman is campaigning hard to bring Oprah Winfrey to Canada during her talk show's final season on the air.

Tanya Lee says the Chicago-based megastar is an inspiration to fans across the country, although she has never broadcast a show in Canada.

To get Winfrey's attention, Lee has written a poem called "Our Oprah Holiday Wish" and created a Facebook group that has amassed 2,000 members in its first few weeks.

Lee is hoping to have two million people join the group to help lure Winfrey to Toronto for a Mother's Day show.

After 25 years, Winfrey will end her daytime talk show next year.

On Jan. 1, she is launching a cable channel, the Oprah Winfrey Network.
