Torontonians who enjoy mild weather will be in for a treat as we prepare to ring in the new year.
Environment Canada's Dave Phillips says Toronto will have the warmest New Year's Day in the country with Vancouver-like weather.
Forecasters are predicting a high of nine degrees Celsius on New Year's Eve and a high of eight degrees Celsius on New Year's Day – with showers on both days.
The mild conditions will be short-lived, with a return to colder temperatures on Sunday and into next week.
