Devon Soltendieck is a Remote Host and Anchor for CP24. He joined CP24 in 2010 and has since reported top stories from the 2010 Mayoral Race to We Day at the Air Canada Centre. This former MuchMusic VJ, at heart, is a news guy and is proud to be part of CP24's breaking news team.

Soltendieck got his start in 2004 as the winner of the MuchMusic VJ Search. During his time with Much he interviewed such A-lister's as Marilyn Manson, Jack White, Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen, Orlando Bloom, Kirsten Dunst, Beyoncé, and Gwen Stefani.

For six years, he was a proud part of the MuchNews team. His MuchNews highlights were an hour-long special on Eminem and coverage of the January, 12, 2010 Haitian earthquake disaster with Craig Kielburger, co-founder of Free The Children.

Before winning the MuchMusic VJ Search in 2004 Soltendieck was a student studying Economics and Political Science at Concordia University and helped to run Dawson College's school's newspaper. While at MuchMusic he continued his finance studies at the University of Toronto.

Soltendieck is a native of Montreal, Que. He attended highschool in Villars, Switzerland and played tennis for two years before returning to Canada to finish highschool. Professionally trained in violin and horns, this music maven is self-taught in guitar and percussion. He is a part-time tri-athlete, part-time foodie, full-time news junkie. He collects Kurt Vonnegut novels and essays.
