A pair of nannies are levelling accusations against Brampton-Springdale MP Ruby Dhalla.

The nannies say they were hired by Dhalla to work at the family home in Mississauga. They were paid $250 dollars a week and worked up to 16 hours a day.

Magdalene Gordo, 31, and Richelyn Tongson, 37, allege that Dhalla improperly seized their passports and family members forced them to do non-nanny jobs such as washing cars and shining shoes, the Toronto Star reports.

Dhalla denies the allegations.

The allegations came to light a couple of weeks ago at a public meeting with two Ontario cabinet ministers.
