“I got to the edge there and the poor guy is in the water up to his waist and I threw him my dog leash and tried to pull him out.”

He said two other men came along to help rescue the man from the water before police and paramedics arrived on scene.

Police told CTV News that the temperature of the water is between 1 C and 4 C and the man was in the early stages of hypothermia when he was pulled out. He is expected to be OK.
