Toronto police searching for suspect after sex assault in Bedford Park

Toronto police say they are searching for a suspect after a woman was sexually assaulted while walking in the Bedford Park neighbourhood of Toronto on Tuesday night.

Investigators say woman was walking in the area of Yonge Street and Yonge Boulevard sometime before 11 p.m. on Tuesday night.

Police said the woman was approached from behind and sexually assaulted. A man promptly fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 30 and 35 years-old, standing five-feet-eight inches tall, with an average build.

He had short black hair and was last seen wearing dark athletic clothing including a hooded sweatshirt and long dark pants.
