One person injured in Scarborough stabbing: police

One person was injured in a stabbing in Scarborough Sunday morning, which police say reportedly stemmed from an altercation between family members.

Officers were called to the area of Warden and Danforth avenues just before 9:45 a.m. for a stabbing call.

Police said they received reports of an altercation between family members inside a residence in the area at that time.

One person was stabbed and taken to hospital with a non-life-threatening injury, police said. A suspect is in custody.

The relationship between the suspect and victim was not released by police. It’s unclear what charges the suspect is facing.
