Suspect wanted after victim sexually assaulted in downtown Toronto

Police are trying to identify and locate a suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted a victim in Toronto’s downtown core.

The incident happened on Jan. 16 at around 8 p.m. near Front Street West and Bay Street.

Toronto police said they were called to that area the following day, on Jan. 17, for reports of a sexual assault.

Investigators said the victim and a suspect met up at a location where the victim was staying.

The suspect then allegedly sexually assaulted them before leaving the area.

They are described as 55 to 65 years old and 250 pounds with a heavy build, and an accent.
