A 12-year-old boy has died, while a man remains in critical condition, after being struck by the drivers of two vehicles in Mississauga late Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened near Millcreek Drive and Millrace Court, which is south of Highway 401 and west of Erin Mills Parkway.

Emergency crews said they were called to that area just before 5:30 p.m. for reports of a collision.

Const. Tyler Bell, of Peel Regional Police, said on Thursday that preliminary information suggests a white SUV travelling south hit two pedestrians crossing the road.

The pedestrians, a man in his 60s and a boy under the age of 16, were then “potentially” thrown into the path of a northbound Volkswagen, he said on Thursday.

The youth, Bell said, was found trapped underneath the Volkswagen. He was extricated and was rushed to the hospital along with the other pedestrian.

Both were listed in critical condition at that time.

The drivers remained on scene and are co-operating with the investigation, Bell added.

Mississauga collision Police are on the scene of a collision on Millcreek Drive in Mississauga on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025.

On Friday, Peel Regional Police said they will not be releasing the victim’s age at this time “out of respect for the family’s privacy.”

CP24 has since independently verified that he was 12 years old.

Police are also not saying what may be the relationship between the boy and the man who were struck in the collision.

This investigation is ongoing and anyone with further information is asked to contact Peel Regional Police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
