Richmond Hill home invasion robbery leaves occupant with injuries

York Regional Police say they were called to the area of Red Oak and Hyde Park drives and the suspects took off before officers got to the scene.

One person sustained minor injuries after a home invasion in Richmond Hill on Tuesday morning, police say.

It happened at around 4:30 a.m. at a residence in the area of Red Oak and Hyde Park drives, which is in the vicinity of Hwy. 7 and Leslie Street.

Police say that the injured party was one of the occupants of the residence.

The suspects fled the scene prior to the arrival of police.

“Expect a larger police presence in the area, as police continue to investigate,” police said in a post to social media.

Police have described the home invasion as a robbery but have not said what, if anything, was taken.

No suspect descriptions have been released.
