Canada Head Coach Jesse Marsch couldn't contain his excitement during Canada's 6-0 victory over Qatar.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup hasn’t even entered the knockout stages yet, but we may already have the meme of the tournament.

During the 6-0 trouncing of Qatar on Thursday, Team Canada head coach Jesse Marsch celebrated with a dance move that is lighting up the internet.

Social media users have come up with creative names for the move that looks something like a hockey stop with karate chops. Some called it the “deli slicer,” while others dubbed it the “Jesse Marsch touchline shuffle.”

GIFs and videos of Marsch’s moves have already racked up hundreds of thousands of views online.

While Canada revelled in its historic first ever World Cup win, the victory was bittersweet. Early in the second half, Canadian midfielder Ismaël Koné suffered a broken leg when he was tackled by an opposing player. The fracture required surgery and will keep Koné off the field for the remainder of the tournament.

Canada faces Switzerland in Vancouver on Wednesday.
