A seven-year-old is missing and a male kayaker has died at the same conservation area in Hamilton on Wednesday.
The child went missing at Binbrook Conservation Area, which is located near Highway 56 and Kirk Road.
Rescue efforts are currently underway lead by Hamilton police and fire services.
During the search, emergency crews responded to separate reports of a kayaker who had capsized in the area. The man was pulled from the water and taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police have not released descriptions of the missing girl or the deceased man.
