Provincial Police say they have recovered the body of a 28-year-old Halton Hills woman who went missing while canoeing on a lake north of Peterborough almost two weeks ago.
Police said they found the body of Angel Villeneuve-Steadman in Pigeon Lake, south of Bobcaygeon, on Saturday morning at 10:45 a.m.
Villeneuve-Steadman was in a canoe with two men on the evening of April 3 when they ended up in the water. Police said they were called to search for them at 7:30 p.m. that night.
