Cherry Blossom, a mainstay of Canadian candy store shelves for decades, will soon disappear as Hershey Canada has decided to halt production.
“After being a cherished treat for Canadians for many years, Hershey Canada confirms that Cherry Blossom will be discontinued across the country in early 2025,” Hershey Canada officials said in a statement sent to CTV News Friday.
The company has not disclosed an official date for the removal of the candy that combined maraschino cherries and roasted peanuts within a chocolate coating, but confirmed it would be transitioning the confection out of its lineup in the coming months.
Those looking to get their hands on any of the remaining candy in the iconic yellow cube boxes should check stores sooner than later.
“We’re pleased to let customers know it is still available in selected stores now - giving everyone a chance to enjoy it while supplies last,” the Hershey Canada statement said.
Hershey Canada has not said what prompted the decision to discontinue Cherry Blossom.
