Two people are dead and another two are seriously hurt after a “suspected double homicide” in East Vancouver Friday afternoon, police say.
The Vancouver Police Department confirmed it responded to reports of a stabbing at an apartment building near Vanness Avenue and Spencer Street just before 2 p.m.
Police found two people deceased inside an apartment. Two others were taken to hospital with injuries police described as serious.
“At this time, police do not believe there is an ongoing risk to the public,” the VPD wrote in a brief statement. “Additional information will be provided as the investigation unfolds.”
