Six-year-old Darius Macdougall is still missing after disappearing in the southern Alberta wilderness more than a week ago, police say.
RCMP did not hold an update on search efforts on Monday.
Macdougall was last seen on Sunday, Sept. 21.
Mounties say he and six family members left their campsite at the Livingstone Public Land Use Zone on Tent Mountain Road, south of Highway 3, to go for a walk.
When the group returned to the campsite, Macdougall wasn’t with them.
RCMP say the family searched for the child for about an hour before calling authorities.
Professionals from multiple agencies are involved in the search, including teams from Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
The search teams are also being aided by drones with thermal imaging, dogs and helicopters.
On Sunday, RCMP said they had met with the family to discuss survivability.
“At the point we are at with regards to the search, the survivability is less than five per cent,” RCMP Cpl. Gina Slaney said Sunday.
Macdougall has autism, and while verbal, RCMP said he may not respond to rescuers calling out his name.
