Marcel Leclaire of Sudbury, Ont., won a $3 million top prize with Instant Platinum, the second time he has claimed a major lottery prize.
In 2017, Leclaire, 72, won $1 million with Encore.
“I still play weekly,” he said while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim his winnings.
‘Nice and shiny’
“This ticket was nice and shiny and it caught my eye, so I bought it.”
The retiree checked his ticket at the store and shouted, “Wow!” when he discovered he was a big winner again.

Leclaire passed along the news to some friends, who, he said, were very happy for him.
He plans to share his prize with his family and buy a house.
“This is just amazing. It’s an incredible feeling,” he added.
The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Lasalle Boulevard in Sudbury.
