A bank in B.C.’s Interior sustained “significant damage” during an early morning theft of an ATM, according to authorities.
Officers were called to the scene in the 5500 block of Clements Crescent in Peachland around 4:30 a.m. for reports of mischief.
“Upon arrival, police determined that suspects had used a front-end loader and a pickup truck to forcibly remove the ATM deposit box from the side of the building before fleeing the scene with it,” a statement from the West Kelowna RCMP said.

Police found both vehicles and the deposit box abandoned nearby, but have been unable to locate the suspects.
“This was a bold and dangerous act that caused significant damage to the business,” West Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Devon Gerrits said in the statement.
Anyone who witnesses the incident or who has information that could assist investigators is urged to call 250-768-2880 and quote file number 2025-60900.
