The OPP public information advisor (PIA) told CTV News on Saturday that one vehicle was involved and that one person had suffered life-threatening injuries.
On Sunday, the OPP reported that the individual, a 39-year-old woman from Bowmanville, was ejected from her motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The OPP’s Traffic Incident Management Enforcement Team (TIME), a collision reconstructionist and a technical collision investigator are involved in the now ongoing investigation.
Anyone with information or video footage of the incident is asked to contact Peterborough County OPP.
The closed area has since reopened.
