A Calgary man is accused of travelling to Hawaii and sexually assaulting a teen girl. Police say the two met on a popular online game.

A Calgary man has been arrested by U.S. authorities after he allegedly sexually assaulted a minor he met online through Roblox.

Einreb John Pasuquin Dizon, 21, was arrested on Nov. 1 in Hawaii by South Kohala police officers.

Officials say Dizon travelled to the island from Calgary to see a 14-year-old girl he met while playing on the popular online gaming platform.

Police say Dizon rented a room at a bed-and-breakfast, where they allege he sexually assaulted the teen.

“Detectives charged Dizon on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, with first-degree sexual assault, a Class A felony. His bail was set at $250,000, and he made his initial court appearance on Monday, Nov. 3, in Kona District Court,” Hawaii Island police said in a news release.

Capt. Akira Edmoundson with the Hawaii Police Department said Dizon had been in Hawaii for about a week before they were contacted by the teen’s parents.

“They reported it to us,” Edmoundson said.

“We made contact with him and arrested him before he flew out to go back home.”

The County of Hawaii office of the prosecuting attorney lists some details of Dizon’s appearance in court on Monday.

The record of proceedings says his bail “was maintained at $250,000.”

He had a preliminary hearing scheduled for Wednesday and then was indicted on the first-degree sexual assault charge later on Monday.

According to the office of the prosecuting attorney, conviction on a first-degree sexual assault charge “carries a penalty of a 20-year prison term.”

An arraignment date has not yet been scheduled.

The office of the prosecuting attorney noted the allegations against Dizon are just that, “unless or until proven guilty.”

Authorities are reminding parents and guardians to monitor their children’s activity online and speak with them about online safety, particularly when it comes to gaming and social media platforms.

Edmoundson called the case concerning.

“Not just as a police officer but also a parent, he said.

“We need to be more aware of what’s going on with the kids—communicate with them and just know what they’re up to.”
