A 21-year-old driver was feeling festive – and now they are paying the price.
Ontario Provincial Police said an officer spotted the vehicle, decorated with colourful Christmas lights, in Norfolk County on Saturday.
But it wasn’t the just holiday cheer that caught their attention.
“It was recorded travelling over 160 km/h on Brantford Road, more than double the posted speed limit,” OPP said in a social media post.
The driver was handed a 30-day license suspension, and a 14-day impoundment of the pickup.
“Your choices behind the wheel matter,” OPP’s post concluded. “Please slow down, drive responsibly and arrive alive.”
