Ontario man charged with assault using snow blower

Sault man charged with assault after allegedly directing his snowblower at a person during an argument, police say.

A 57-year-old man in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., has been charged with assault following an incident involving a snow blower over the weekend.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service said that shortly after 9 a.m. on Dec. 7, 911 operators received a report of an assault that had occurred the previous afternoon in the 100 block of Second Line West.

“An investigation revealed the accused got into an argument with the victim, who is known to them, before intentionally directing snow from a snow blower at them,” police said in a news release Monday.

No physical injuries were reported from the incident.

Officers located the accused on Sunday, took him into custody and charged him with assault.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb 9.
