Peavey Mart returning to Saskatchewan in 2026

Published:

Following its nationwide closure earlier this year, Peavey Mart says stores are set to reopen in Yorkton and Assiniboia in 2026.

The revived version of Peavey Mart will be making its return to Saskatchewan in 2026 during its next round of planned reopenings.

According to Peavey Mart, its next slate of store openings includes locations in Assiniboia and Yorkton, along with Red Deer.

While no exact reopening date has been set at this point, the company says its target is spring 2026.

The news comes following the reopening of four revamped stores in Alberta earlier this month.

Peavey Mart entered creditor protection earlier this year, resulting in the closure of all 90 of its locations across the country, including 13 stores in Saskatchewan.

An investment group bought out the rights to the Peavey Mart name in April, announcing in August it had plans to make a comeback in some of the markets where its predecessor operated.

The original Peavey Mart opened in 1967.
