A four-month-old baby from Temiskaming Shores, Ont., mouthing along to her mother’s choir practice has racked up more than six million views online.

Myriam Bénard Lafontaine had her daughter, Senna, along with her at a recent choir practice when the infant, wearing headphones, began mouthing along with “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”

Senna and Myriam Senna, who is four months old, appears to be singing along with her mom, Myriam Bénard Lafontaine, as Lafontaine rehearses a Christmas song.

“Both my husband and I are very musically inclined, and so are her grandparents and her great grandparents,” Lafontaine told CTV News on Thursday.

“I think probably just from the womb, always hearing music and just being the happy baby that she is. I think music will run in her blood.”

A member of the community band, Karen Ross, noticed Senna trying to participate in the song and began recording the cute scene. Ross gave the video to Lafontaine, who posted it to social media.

Very big in Brazil

But she never expected it to go viral. Little Senna’s love of music soon began attracting attention from across the globe.

“Sweden, Italy, there are liaisons from the USA that are working with People magazine and USA Today,” Lafontaine said.

“And Brazil has been really, really big because Senna is named after Ayrton Senna.”

Lafontaine said she posted the video for family and friends to see, and as a preview of the choir’s performance before their big Christmas show.

“The video that you’re seeing is just literally how she is on a day-to-day basis. We’re blessed with a very happy baby.”

“We bring her little play mat and she’ll just be babbling and cooing and, yeah, she loves choir.”

She only noticed Senna cooing after the song was finished, and when Lafontaine watched the video, she thought it was a great reflection of her happy baby.

Now that it’s getting global attention, Lafontaine said she hopes the video brings people some Christmas cheer and inspires new parents to continue going out and doing things they love with their children in tow.
