Update: On Jan. 28, 2026, police said the woman had been identified, but did not provide additional details.
The Chilliwack RCMP appealed for help identifying the woman Monday, saying its investigation of the alleged fraud earlier this month has led authorities to believe the woman is linked to “similar alleged offences in several other jurisdictions throughout B.C.”
The woman is described as white, between 30 and 40 years old, and approximately 6’ tall.
“Police believe that the suspect is in possession of multiple stolen identity documents and that some victims may be unaware their information has been compromised,” a spokesperson for the Chilliwack RCMP said, in a statement.
Anyone who recognizes the woman is urged to call 604-792-4611 and quote file 2026 1063. Anonymous tips can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Police also encouraged people to “routinely” monitor their credit score for unauthorized loans or accounts opened in their name, and to report suspicious activity.
